The story

The project was originally expected to be named Maryam. Marjan advocated for The Traveler — Mosafer, مسافر — from her understanding of women becoming passengers in their own lives within restrictive social systems in Iran.
The film moves through women, Iran, Los Angeles and LAX: travel, migration, borders, arrival and departure, agency and identity.
