2017 BAILA-MOCA Roundtable

DATE: Wednesday, February 22, 2017
TIME: 10am-1pm
LOCATION: MoCA Grand Avenue, 250 S. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Dear BAILA (Black Artists in Los Angeles) and Allies,

You are invited to attend a BAILA-MoCA roundtable discussion which will occur at MoCA Grand in the morning of February 22, 2017. The discussion will center around MoCA’s relationship with Black artists, past present and future. Please read the following in its entirety.

This is an invitation-only, private event. The RSVP is first-come-first-serve and will be capped at 140 people. Please click on “going” only if you are certain you can attend. There is no free parking available. The discussion will start on time, at 10:00 am, so please plan on arriving at least a half-hour early to allow time for the walk from your car to the building which can be a few blocks, depending on where you park. Below is information on the event.

Please RSVP by clicking “going” on this FaceBook event page. For clarity sake, please also confirm your RSVP in the comment section of this event page, as well. In the past, some people have clicked on “going” even when they don’t plan on attending, only so they can stay in the loop. Clicking on “interested” will not count as an RSVP.

IMPORTANT: Visual Artists: I invite you to submit ONE image, in the highest resolution, that best represents your work, for the Artwork of BAILA & Allies in Attendance Short Slideshow portion of the event. The DVD of the slideshow will be gifted to MoCA after the presentation. Only images of artists who RSVP and who submit an image of their work by Februray 15 will be included in the slideshow. It is important that you email your image to me by February 15, in order that I have time to make the slideshow DVD. Please send your one high-resolution image that best represents your work to lili@lilibernard.com.

ALSO IMPORTANT: I invite you to submit, with your RSVP, questions that you would like to be considered for the 5 Curated Questions portion of the discussion. Feel free to post your suggestions for questions in the comment section below.
