Helen Frankenthaler – Gagosian Gallery

“There are no rules. That is how art is born, how breakthroughs happen. Go against the rules or ignore the rules. That is what invention is about.” – Helen Frankenthaler On Friday, September 16th, 2016, we gathered in Celebration of Helen Frankenthaler’s creative practice and exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery. With a more subdued performance in mind, the Creative Multiverse closed one door and opened up the whole night under the full moon to us. Being regulated to the wild outdoors, manifested a much more rambunctious performative experience. We sang, danced, Thanked the Gagosian Gallery for featuring the works of Helen Frankenthaler and read out loud from her epic words of wisdom: “There are no rules. That is how art is born, how breakthroughs happen. Go against the rules or ignore the rules. That is what invention is about.” – Helen Frankenthaler This epic intervention was organized and brought to you by Lili Bernard. The documentation, I’ve posted in this album was captured and created by Photographers Michael Blaze and Micol Hebron, who is the founder of LA Art Girls and the shero behind the ‘Gallery Tally Project.’ Thanx to the ancestors and the full moon for an epic night of singing and dancing in honor of  Helen Frankenthaler and all of our forebears.
